THE WORKSHOP LEADERSHIP
The workshop leadership is responsible for the artistic direction, daily operations, and long‑term development of FotoGrafisk Værksted. Rooted in a deep commitment to analog and experimental photographic practices, the leadership works to ensure that the workshop remains a space for artistic exploration, technical knowledge, and meaningful exchange between artists.
The leadership oversees the workshop’s programs, collaborations, and community initiatives, and supports the continued growth of both local and international networks within photographic art.
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Visual artist Christel Elver Pilkær
Since 2024 Christel Elver Pilkær has been the artistic director of the workshop. Christel Elver holds an MA in Photography from Royal College of Art in London (2019). She has also studied fine art photography at Ljosmyndaskólinn in Reykjavík, Iceland and holds a BA in Dramaturgy from Aarhus University, DK (2014).
